Sutherland Shire Refugee Connection is all about connecting people - and right now we are appealing to our generously spirited community to assist newly arrived families from Ukraine. These families are unable to work or have government assistance under the current laws, as they are required to stay on a tourist visa for 3 months until they may apply for asylum and be granted a bridging visa. Leaving your home behind in a state of war is difficult enough, and these families need urgent support. We are looking for donated or low cost accomodation immediately for 8-12 weeks for several families, mostly parents with a child.
